Two sand hauling trucks one that holds 12 tons and one that holds 15 tons make a total of 20 trips to haul 273 tons of sand. How many trips does each truck make?

Insufficient data. A 2 variable equation requires 2 separate equations to solve. Also, the assumption that the trucks were full is implied but unstated.

LOL.

However, assuming full trucks, each truck made 7 trips.

Or the 15 ton truck made 15 trips, and each 12 ton truck made 2.
