Kubica drives Ford rally car in France
Robert Kubica has been continuing his long convalescence by driving a Ford Fiesta World Rally car, according to French publication LAvenir. This comes just under 19 months after the crash which so nearly took his life in an Italian rally.
The outing came during a four-day Ford WRC test on streets between Reims and Paris. Neither the team nor management of Kubica has commented over the matter.
Kubica has been out of action in Formula 1 since the Skoda rally car he was driving was impaled by a metal roadside barrier during a high-speed accident. Just days earlier in Valencia, the Pole had set the fastest time for Renault in pre-season F1 testing.

If you’ve ever stood at the bottom of Eau Rouge and looked up that hill...TV just doesn’t show how steep it is. Amazing track.
I don’t like that summer break they’ve introduced. It detracts from the flow of the season. And they already have all the winter months off anyway. Lazy bastards. LOL.
Most of my attendance at races was when I lived in Florida. I attended the 24 hours of Daytona and 12 hours of Sebring so many times I can’t even estimate. Also many IMSA races at Tampa, Ft Lauderdale and Miami. I did see one Indy race at Indianapolis as well as one F1 race at Indianopolis.
"Spa is like my living room; for me, it's clearly the number one race track in the world. It's uncanny how I always seem to have special moments there - my debut, my first win, a world championship victory and many great races. The fact that I will also take part in my 300th Grand Prix at Spa was somehow almost inevitable and we will have to celebrate it in the right way. I'm proud to be just the second driver in the history of the sport to reach this milestone and there's no question that we are looking to have a particularly nice weekend. We delivered a good performance in Spa last year; I'll be doing everything possible to drive a strong race."
