Actually there’s a Zarathustrian text where Mazda gives 7 wise men and 7 animals the ability to communicate for one evening because the animals are pissed about the way human beings are treating them.
The argument is along the lines of what makes mankind so great that they can mistreat the natural world. One of the men states “because we clothe ourselves and have fine foods”. I think it’s the fox that replies you clothe yourselves because for some reason you’re embarrassed about the bodies God gave you...we are not. And your sweetest, fine food is nothing but bee vomit.
I read that over 20 years ago and never forgot it.
