This is what I hate about politics. This need to fabricate personas to appeal to the electorate. Hell, I’m not even remotely wealthy, and I don’t buy my shirts at Costco. My dress shirts come from Jos A. Banks. If I had Romney’s money I’d have them custom made an Deno’s in Highland Park, with all the other rich guys. If Romney weren’t campaigning, he’d be wearing whatever is equivalent to his locale.

Gives me a chance to say my advice to Romney/ Ryan.

They are so busy being regular guys on the stump giving casual speeches.

Romney needs to get his suit and tie on, appear at podiums and deliver some formal speeches that explain things in serious detail. That will make the team look more presidential.

Costco clothing is very high quality. Just wish they had some tall sizes.

Costco does make good, casual dress shirts. In my closet, I have custom made shirts from David’s, and I have shirts from Costco.

NB: if you’re not buying custom shirts, there is little difference between ready to wear makers, be they Costco or brooks brothers or Turnbull & Asser. Just a more expensive label.
