OK a couple of things--Obama, as the president, should be referring to Neil as Neil ARMSTRONG.
Next--he used the word further instead of a contextual farther.
Next--his words:
"Neil's spirit of discovery lives on in all men and women who have devoted their lives to exploring the unknown--including those who are ensuring that we reach higher and go further in space.
He's not talking about ground control or R&D support *indiviuals*...he's talking about CENTRAL PLANNING--government.
He's saying that "Neil" (should also have said Armstrong) DIDN'T BUILD THAT--that he didn't "go there."
Excellent observations!
Strange too that Obama would even have the nerve since he cut our space program to the bone.
Yes, good points.
When the narcissist Obama wants to make indelibly clear
the association between himself and, well, ANYONE whose image and accomplishments he can exploit, he invariably goes for the over-familiar “first-name-basis” ploy. Like when he publicly
memorialized Gabrielle Giffords as “Gabby”.
You see, we’re all his children.
