So why are they setting up boltholes overseas? It's not only Chinese. In these economically uncertain times, there is a growing temptation for those with money to take it, and their families, somewhere a bit safer. And Singapore, and the US, is happy to take their money.

A mindset has taken hold among educated Chinese.
It goes something like “if you have half a brain, why on earth would you ever continue living here?”

I suspect their brain drain is about to reach supersonic speeds.
