He had 11 points due to an absurd oversampling of Republicans by the polling organizations. More realistic levels show him getting trounced by McCaskill.

“Well, Polls this morning indicated he is still 11 points on Claire. Apparently, people aren’t watching and the ones that are understand how bad Claire is that they are overlooking this. What I am tired of is outsiders (Washington insiders) butting in Missouri. If they would shut up this would go away”

If you are looking at an 11 point poll you are looking at an outlier poll taken before he opened his yap.Give this 3 days of steady drumbeat and then you can come on the boards and start citing polls. The DNC is now raising money nationally because of this fool’s comments. As such, he has affected most national races.I certainly hope every outsider, insider, Missourian and non Missourian is blasting this guy to get him out.

Sure he said something that should have been said differently but anybody with a brain knew what he meant.

I'm sure that's what Obama thinks about his "You didn't build it" remark.

Oh please.

He is a dufus. However he isn’t that damn important.

As if a vote in November will be based on his one comment, no matter how many here think the American public are easily-lead idiots.

My guess is the ad buys are in essence an extended apology to try to stay politically viable in the future.

“... no matter how many here think the American public are easily-lead idiots”

Then how did Obama come to sit in the Oval Office?

No he’s not, that was from last week before he went full retard. An PPP poll that oversampled Republicans had him up by 1, meaning he’s down by 10-15 by Election Day as this will not lose traction and the media and the left will not relent at throwing his stupidity in everyone’s faces.

Man, this election cycle is getting fun!

It’s like watching a good movie during the really exciting parts, sitting on the edge of my seat.

But it’s easy to enjoy it when you know how it ends.

I’m sure that’s what Obama thinks about his “You didn’t build it” remark.

Probably so and everyone from conservatives to liberals knew what he meant but in this day of immaturity it makes for a good story. I think Akin should stay and win the election. He can still win this thing. Nobody fights anymore. The entire political parties are wimps.

We have to stop being trained pavlovian dogs always reacting to the leftwing tune. This story will die entirely if people just learn to shut up. Take a few hints from the left on this.

Yeah let's be like the left.

In actuality, this could be a lemonade from lemons moment.

Akin is gone and a commercial shows Ted Kennedy's Oldsmobile and then with that fake neck brace at Mary Jo's funeral, the a picture of Barney Frank, with the caption, this democrat Congressman had a male prostitution ring running out of his Capitol Hill townhouse, and then show the picture of Clinton hugging Monica.

The closing is, "When you are a republican your actions have consequences, when you are a Claire McCaskill democrat, your actions do not."

Oh take a breath of goodness sake. Did you not understand what he meant? You seem smart to me so I don’t understand your confusion. He should stay in. He is a staunch Conservative and we need them in the Senate. Stay in and fight you patriot!!!

If he stays in he probably costs us the Senate, which means Obamacare remains in place even if Romney wins by a landslide.

“My guess is the ad buys are in essence an extended apology to try to stay politically viable in the future.”

That was my initial thinking as well. Try to clear up his name a bit going forward so he can have something left of himself. Then bow out. Maybe that’s wishful thinking...

I don’t think that Akin knows what he meant, and he proved it by going on Hannity’s show and acting like a fool. I’ll support a true conservative but I won’t support a moron with an IQ of 50 that doesn’t know when to stop running his mouth. This guy is beyond dumb and this won’t be the last time he makes a fool out of himself and the GOP on a national stage if he sticks around until November.

No wonder the Democrat’s were BEGGING for this guy to be the Republican candidate, no wonder McCaskill put $2 million to back him in the primary, they saw an idiot for what he is was and now we’re reaping the benefits.

If he doesn’t step out, that seat is gone, and everyone but the naive like you, realize it. This is why the Republicans put a full court press on him yesterday, they understand that if he stays in, the race is over and McCaskill wins....easily.

“It is nice to see principled religious conservative people fighting”

It certainly is.
And he seems to be making a good fight.

The PPP poll his detractors quote shows he has the same favorability with independent voters as before.
(Of course anything good or bad in PPP polls is dubious.)

You’ve got to be kidding. Do you honestly think that the Democrats will let go of this? They need McCaskill and will pound this until election day. They’re like dogs with a bone and every Democratic talking head with be on the Sunday shows with their talking points.
