But I wanted a good platform to turn into a target-er. An aftermarket stock, crowning, and a scope mount. Its all in vain if the bore is not up to snuff. Took plenty of shows and LOTS of inspecting to find a jewel in the rough.Ever done a systematic check of the pickings of Nagants out there? NOT a pretty sight! Makes me cringe at what people are capable of doing to otherwise good instruments, course they did go thru a war, literally!
