Depp is a bit of a chameleon, but he’s so boyish, while Martin, though not at all overweight, looked far more robust.
I agree.. big fan of Depp, but I would pass on seeing him as Deano..
playing Dean Martin would require stature, I would think.
I don’t even understand casting like this..It’s if this casting director would also cast Depp as John Wayne..
read an article a while back about D. Martin’s music being the perfect music to play in the restaraunt and that it instantly puts people in a good mood.
I think that’s it. He’s diminutive. Maybe it was camera angles, but the actors (& even most of the actresses) seem far more substantial.
