I simply can not imagine the hellish end she met. How is it possible for a human to become so cruel to a child?? to stand there and listen to her screams and pleas and not be bothered by it???

The one woman witness was so trauamtized while she watched it out she jumped out of the end story window to escape while it was going on. According to another link, Carina suffered other tortures the police are not allowing to be brought forth at this time.

Poor girl.

My oldest grandchild went through HELL by her mother. The mother would drag her through the house by the hair, slaming her up against the walls; and all sorts of horrors were perpetrated upon her by a drug-addicted mother.

Even then, other family members did nothing (even though they were witnesses to most of the acts). I took my grandchild for a supposed 2 week stay - and hid her until we could get guardianship over her (with the help of the DA’s office and an outraged Judge). We also got help from the Social Services people who (after interviewing her) were convinced she should not return to her mother.

Usually, these things happen because of drug use. The mother had been using drugs since she was very young. She had 2 children by 2 different fathers, and was not married at the time she lost custody of her daughter.

I was the first person who ever made the mother accountable for her actions; all her other relatives were as co-dependent as she was. She did finally get her act together - after she lost tempory custody of 3 other children children. She got married, got religion and turned her whole life around.

It was not easy to take a risk with another person’s life - but my grandchild had a much better life living with her Aunt and Uncle - who gave her a great upbringing. She is now married and attending Bible school - while her husband (who’s absolutely terrific) is working a full-time job.

I wrote about this in my book “Miracles Upon Miracles”.
