I am encouraged when that happens-like we told her, it is hard, hard times for us all right now, but we are neighbors and friends all in the same boat-we can’t lose sight of the fact that the more of us who work to toss this outrageously awful administration out, the better the chances are-we need just to hang in there.

I found something interesting to put my poverty-lunch tuna salad in-a package of wholewheat pockets called kangaroo salad pockets-60 calories each, made with honey and sunflower oil-has anyone tried these? I usually buy the wholewheat wrapper things, but I’m going to try one of these and see if it is any good...

Well the salad pockets were pretty tasty filled with tuna salad-not sweet like so much wholewheat stuff, and they don’t have that pressed sawdust texture like some other “health” food items do-I’ll buy those again.

OH SNAP! That picture just gave me a frisson of something! At my age, too! If he was just rocking a military haircut instead of the 80’s poof, I would be a goner!

"Now I’ve got to teach my dog to answer the phone..."

I did that, long ago. Taught my dog to answer the phone.

But I had to make him stop.

He kept using "ruff" language.

Last night, the downstairs A/C quit, but I was able to get the A/C guy who lives about 20 miles away to come out late this morning-and he happened to have the right electrical part-a plastic thingee with contacts-in his truck-yippee!

Already bought a lottery ticket for tonight yesterday-and I’m certainly relieved that it was a part that cost less than it might have-I was dreading being charged something like the national debt of a small, third world country...
