What a stupid idea - a complete waste of money. I’d like a refund on my federal taxes, please.

Orifinally passed the House with 224 R and 10 Dem votes.
Harry amended it and it then passed the House with 146 R and 147 Dem votes- a majority Democrat bill!

It had the ‘doc fix’ for medicare/medicaid in it and several other ‘must pass’ items.

Thanks to the media Harry was able to do this.
Republicans would be blamed, heck it was never even mentioned by the media that he did this.
Harry is always able to threaten to shut down part of the government if he doesn’t get his goodies, confident that the media won’t report that- and will blame the Republican House if he does shut it down.

Put the Labor Dept. on the short list of govt. agencies to be eliminated.

——The grants will be given to states that apply and meet certain requirements, including having short-term compensation programs in place that meet federal guidelines. Workers will have “wages compensated with a portion of their weekly unemployment compensation payments,” according to the Labor Department.——

Not sure if I am reading this right.... But the states are getting unemployment monies to compensate workers they would have laid off..?

So instead of helping the states pay unemployment to a laid off worker they are basically paying to keep someone employed?

If anything it's a novel idea....just tells you how screwed up the economy really is....
