Between FreeRepublic, Twitter, other places online, newspaper editorials and magazine articles, most of us who are politically savvy absorb more info in one day than the average person does in a year. All my “friend” knows is that when he goes to the doctor, it’s “free.” And, sadly, that’s all he cares to know. Even sadder—his uninformed vote counts just as much as your informed one.
Almost every friend or family member close to me is a conservative. The few liberals I know baffle me - one is a family member who lives in the northeast. His family was very very poor when he was growing up. He, and all of his siblings put themselves through school and every one of them has a Master’s Degree or higher. All are liberals. I want to shake them and ask why they think poor people can’t make it on their own since they all did? But almost every liberal I know has a gay child or sibling and I wonder how much that has colored their opinion.
I feel the pain of talking to the clueless. While I don’t visit the medical establishment unless badly injured, and do not take drugs, I can read-the word “co-pay” on my TriCare literature makes a lie of “free”-nothing is really “free”, except ignorance...
Biden brings out those chains,
Albeit metaphorically speaking-
Painting with a racist brush
In the South has him reeking
As some sort of a curmudgeon
Whose mood leans atrabilious
While Obama elevates his nose
To prove he is supercilious
Since this is what was bought
With all our vanished cash
Call the big truck in November
To remove that expensive trash
