I don't feel like talking about Chairman Obama's plots, Nazi Pelosi's plastic surgery mistakes, Harry Reid's dementia, or the fact that we're on the edge of total economic, social, and political disaster. (In other words, let's pretend Ronald Reagan is still president, at least for this thread.)
Anyhoo, let's let our hair down! Let's chit-chat about music. So tell me, FRiends, what are your favorite types of music, your favorite songs, or favorite songs ?

Yes, thank you. I know of Billy Murray’s version. My great uncle and his brother, also a songwriter, wrote for the Ziegfeld Follies, especially for Fannie Brice.

“Surf music gave birth to punk/skate rock.....lots of bass guitar...”
I’d agree. My sister said once that the Beach Boys were sort of the precursors of punk music.

Paul McCartney can’t and the Bee Gees couldn’t and probably lots of others too.
“So John kept wanting to write songs that required two drummers and I’d protest ‘But we only have one drummer!’”

“YES”
Kinda of amazing since one of the original band members came to several FR rallies.

They sure were. Lots of bass guitar, the hallmark of California punk/skate rock.
