There was an interesting comment beneath the article. A woman posted that when you have sex instead of make love, the dynamic changes from something you are sharing to something selfish and only for your own gratification. As I was explaining to my son (who had not heard of pansexual) I said she can be attracted to a manly woman or a girly man...and my son said, “or a lamp”..... exactly.

Can you believe the endless Romney bashing articles on FR? What exactly do they hope to accomplish? Seriously?

I haven’t even looked in the last few days. So the Ryan pick wasn’t enough to settle them down huh?

I don’t click on them just see titles and roll my eyes. Nope, Ryan’s not enough for the lunatic fringe. We can hope that maybe its pulled a few back from the re-elect Obama by voting for a third party loser abyss, but they are mostly standing/ laying on their vaunted principles.

I guess all of those people have perfect marriages, perfect children, perfect health/bodies and accept no less in their lives. Or at least they play it that way on line....

Hate to be mean, but-times are hard. Sorry about the “starving world”, but there are people in need right here, and they should come first. Besides, I can remember hearing that “starving world” stuff from my very early childhood, and I’ll bet just about everyone else here can, too. It wasn’t always the same place or people-children in Africa, Laos, China-starving people in Biafra, Bangladesh, Haiti (that one is at least mostly true), and just about every other 3d world country-but we should always feel guilty and give lots of money because people were surely starving somewhere...

Let the conversation go long enough and it seems to devolve down to “but he’s a Mormon”

And the holier-than-thous think that gives them license to bash. I will reiterate what my SiLs sister. (daughter of a baptist preacher) told someone from her church who asked about voting for a Mormon, she said he may go to hell when he dies but he will do a far better job in the here and now to keep the country from going to hell.

“commie nun”

I saw the replay of that at 10-the condescending attitude she displayed was as offensive to me as her support of ridiculous policies. And then she assured Bill O that Jesus would want us to do this? Gah!!!

I share your sentiments-I realize that (most) nuns do not have experience in or exposure to the real world, so there is no reason for them to pretend to know how it works, or lecture anyone on the subject.

I’m pretty sure that the motivation for becoming a nun includes the desire to serve God and avoid/escape the wider world, not live in it-a convent isn’t exactly a home in the ‘burbs. If you don’t play the game, you shouldn’t make the rules...
