What was the alternative?

The candidates were all flawed. I didn’t like Romney either.

And this is a fine time for everyone to decide to go Paleocon when there was no sane Paleocon to choose from.

The GOP has only been electing RINO’s since Hoover (except Reagan). But that’s good, let’s wait until we have an undocumented communist in the white house before we finally decide to make a stand.

The GOP-e was looking to encourage as many weak candidates from among conservative ranks as possible, so as to dilute the conservative vote as widely as possible.

So you are calling all the conservative candidates who ran, tools? If that is true why would we want them. (I don't think it's true by the way). At least Romney is willing to take on the Ryan Budget as part of his platform. To me that is a good thing.

Watch a number of movies? Is that what you and your kind need to base your arguments on?

You are one sordid SOB if you think that you cannot vote for the candidates who decide to run. What’d you have? 6? 7? running? And you could have got off your ass and gone out to canvas for one of those 6 or 7. You could have gone out and raised money for your candidate.

Am I ever happy about anything? Let’s see.

I was born in 1958 when we were still relatively free. In my lifetime...

50 million US babies have been aborted.

The divorce rate has skyrocketed.

Bastard children, as we used to call them in my childhood, are prolific. Rates of illigitimacy has skyrocketed.

100 million people are on government welfare.

The government just passed socialized medicine.

My state of California is racing toward financial insolvency. My governor is a brain dead moron.

The borders are wide open and the flood of illegal aliens, mostly Mexicans, continues abated. Read Victor Davis Hanson if you want a precursor of the state’s ruin when we are completely over-run by Mexicans and the last middle-class non-Hispanic white moves to Texas.

California is so liberal it passed Cap and Trade when Obama could not ram it through the US Congress. Our fuel and electricity costs are poised to soar, as hundreds of businesses continue to flee the state.

I live in a one party Democrat state with no hope of salvation.

Despite more than half of all tax money going to California schools, we are rapidly falling to 50th in the nation for education.

The Brady handgun organization rates my state an 81 of 100, making it the most anti-gun state in the nation.

So am I ever happy?

I live in a beautiful home in a wonderful neighborhood, have a sports car and a great dog.

I have ironclad job security and good pay in an economic depression.

I am healthy and completely pain free - rare for a 53 year old man.

At this point I can still criticize my government and president and not be dragged into the gulag.

After 8 years of suckage, my 49ers went 13-3 under Harbaugh and came 2 victories from winning the superbowl.

Two years ago my San Francisco Giants won the World Series after a drought that lasted my entire lifetime.

Cars have never had more horsepower or performance and still exhibit phenomenal fuel economy when considering how powerful they are.

If I was happy, I would be guilty of not paying attention. 80% of Californians are happy and are not paying attention. When we go tits up, YOU get to pay the bail out. Are you happy about that?

My candidate was Palin. Raise money for what?

I only referred to movies as my way of trying to make you understand that the power behind elections goes at least that far back, and we know much further. We voters just don’t have the control over elections you seem to think we have.

Somehow, in spite of the mighty GOPe I managed to learn about 6 other candidates besides Romney, run the gauntlet of armed GOPe guards surrounding the polling place, and cast a vote for Newt. Everyone else had the same information and the same freedom to vote. Unfortunately, Newt wasn’t able to convince enough other people to vote for him to enable him to rise above the rest of the pack. Neither were any of the others, except Romney. Between the alternative media and repeated national exposure via the debates, a sufficiently persuasive candidate had ample opportunity to convince the electorate. The GOPe boogieman is not the reason they couldn’t.

Oh, and shove your puerile insults up your arse, Vanna.

“I understand you desperately want to put the blame for Romney on the GOP-e (which clearly did pull out all the stops in support of Mittens), but unless you have evidence that the GOP-e *forced* all these conservative candidates to run against each other, then the fact remains: We conservatives did this to ourselves.”

Precisely. Refusal to accept reality.

And Hillary just lost to Obama, right? It is not as if Soros didn’t fund Obama’s campaign, have SEIU and ACORN fall in behind him.

Hillary just couldn’t convice the voters to back her with huge name recognition and popularity and the ready-made Clinton campaign machine over an Obscure black man who nobody ever heard of. Right?

Wrong.

All of you who are saying that this was a fair fight are clueless regarding what happens when your party pulls out the stops for one nominee over all the others. Clueless.

Romney was not elected. He was anointed by the GOP-e and shoved down our throats. But it is nice to see you buy the lie that you had any say in the matter. That is what the GOP-e wants you to believe. They want you to think that Romney was the People’s Choice. Nothing could be further from the truth.

If either of Gingrich or Santorum or Bachmann had run one on one against Romney without the vote splitting caused by the bunch of them, Romney would have fallen by the wayside despite all the money the GOP-e funneled to him. The GOP-e knew what they were doing when they encouraged a bunch of weak conservatives to run to dilute their vote, and they are in tears laughing that so many conservatives actually believe it was a fair election and just the better man won.

Is it any wonder this nation is doomed. I expect naivete from dumb Donkey supporters but I expect informed conservatives are on top of their gime. I reckon not.

And your candidate was someone who never ran.

How nice. Your right, supporting someone who would not run, then you dont have control over the primaries.

I wrote in Palin’s name in the primary.

I live in California. Romney had it wrapped up by our June primary. I could do whatever I wanted to do because Romney had it wrapped up.

In the general, I will probably write in Palin’s name again so as not to reward the GOP-e for shoving Romney down my throat. I believe I have that luxury because California is almost certain to go to Obama, so my vote doesn’t count in any event.

If there is ANY POSSIBLE WAY that the polls have Romney close, say within 10-12 points of Obama here in California, then I won’t take the chance and I will vote for Romney in case he pulls off a miracle win here.

Right now Obama is +18 over Romney in California and is a lock to carry it.

http://elections.huffingtonpost.com/pollster/2012-california-president-romney-vs-obama

So I will likely write in Palin’s name again as my vote in California doesn’t matter. As we approach voting day, I might decide to vote for Romney just so nobody can give me any shit about not voting for him should Obama be re-elected.

I am convinced Obama is toast due to the ongoing economic depression and convinced the GOP wins in November, and it wouldn’t matter if the GOP ran a dead kitten against Obama. The GOP wins by default due to the economic depression. So if there is any chance in a million that Romney could win California, I will vote for him.

I am one of the ones here constantly reminding people that we MUST get rid of Obama at all costs, and if that means voting for Romney, so be it. Hold your nose and vote for Romney. ABO. If I lived in a battleground state I would not even consider wasting my vote. I would be adamant in voting for Romney. Since I live in California which is guaranteed to go to Obama, I can do with my non-Democrat vote whatever I want.

If Obama is crushed in a landslide and only carries 5 states, I guarantee one of them will be California. We are the single most liberal state in the Union, bar none. 10 years ago, I could not say that. Today, we are the brightest red communist liberal state in the USA. No way Romney takes California’s electoral votes. No way.

The point I want to make is that the fix was in when they shoved McCain down our throats. The fix was in when they shoved GW Bush down our throats. And the fix is in with Romney being shoved down our throats by the GOP establishment.

All 3 of them were handpicked by the establishment in advance and were foisted on us. It is that simple. This goes back at least to Bob Dole and Daddy Bush.

Republican voters on their own haven’t picked a GOP nominee since Reagan. All since were handpicked by the GOP establishment. All of them.

We have no say. That’s the point.
