There is a guy in my town that where a kilt quite often. He is likely of Scottish decent and proud of it. To me it’s a bit odd but then again those of us with Dutch decent are more drawn to wooden shoes. Never had a pair myself but there was an old farmer down the road that wore them all the time.

Wooden shoes? Don't they hurt your feet?

These are traditional clothing, we have a neighbor who wears lederhosen (sp) when he walks - yuk!

I would have never thought a kilt as a skirt. I have seen some Scots in kilts who are very manly.
