For me, Vin Scully talks too fast, says too much, and his high-pitched nasal sound irritates. I want to relax when I watch baseball.

For us Tiger fans there will never be anyone who even comes close to replacing Ernie Harwell. He had that great voice and was never afraid to tell the world of his love of God and baseball.

He was also a baseball poet.

I think Vin was actually better at doing football than baseball....he made the call on “The Catch” in the 1981 NFC Title Game.
