Got an Asus notebook a couple of years ago. Happy with that aspect of their product line.

Meanwhile, Asustek Computer and Samsung Electronics are closing in and shipments of their tablets are increasing faster than sales of Apple iPad. Shipments and sales do not always correlate; it's almost comparing apples to oranges.

Meanwhile, Asustek Computer and Samsung Electronics are closing in and shipments of their tablets are increasing faster than sales of Apple iPad. Yet, in the article, it states Apple shipped 17 million units in Q1, Samsung 2.3M, and Asus 833 thousand.
So, it might be a bit more revealing if they compared sales to sales, and shipping to shipping.

“closing in” is kind of pushing it. It would be like saying that Mitsubishi and Volvo are closing in on Ford Motor Company.

When I got my Asus 14” laptop less than a year ago, Asus and Toshiba were the top two laptops for reliability.
It has been troublefree, for me.
