1. calling oneself thus; self-styled. 2. so-called or pretended.
Etymology: French, literally, saying oneself First Known Use: 1752

Practice makes perfect.....post on....
If it’s a poem about a storm you’re wanting, this is the one:
The clouds prepare for battle
In the dark and brooding silence.
Bruised and sullen stormclouds
Have the light of day obscured.
Looming low and ominous
In twilight premature
Thunderheads are rumbling
In a distant overture...
All at once, the clouds are parted.
Light streams down in bright unbroken beams...
Follow men’s eyes as they look to the skies.
The shifting shafts of shining weave the fabric of their dreams...
Soi-disant
The Orkin Pest Control man brought his thumb down on the world’s smartest bug and said, “Soi-disant isa dead. What you want me to see so important?”
Yeah, it brings tears to my eyes too.
Remember Claire Danes in “My Soi-Disant Life?”
yes, she’s a mess but she could be made over. The unwashed mushy middle who do not pay attention to politics will be oblivious to her poor performance as SOS, and if predisposed to vote against Obams or to stay home, may be brought to the polls for hillary.
A+++
what do you think?
you and hobbes both do love to natter on about pop culture BS to me as if i had any notion of what you were talking about. its so adorable ; )
Jacob’s Ladder, by Rush, the Canuckistan band.
Is calling myself the beltway martyr too soi-disant? How was traffic today?
All the science girls are crushing on Bobak Fedowski.
She probably doesn’t know that there’s unrest in the forest either.
Subdivisions...
Well, after a 13 hour drive yesterday back to Kennesaw, I am so-distant from from my niece’s wedding in Annapolis .... 8<)
yes, that would be a bit much considering yunz drove on the beltway for 3-4 days max! A+++ traffic was dandy bc Congress is on recess and everyone is on vaca in august.
that is so true, robt! A+++
did know that.
What, were you hanging out with the stoners in high school? ;-)
