I wasn’t exactly wide awake at the time, but I gathered that the guest (not sure of who it was, don’t think it was Hoagland) believed that the announcement of life on Mars would give Obomba the opening to start up a “look what a great job the government (NASA) did, so let’s go to Mars” campaign angle.
He also mentioned that the deficit wouldn’t be a problem because a popular program (like the Apollo program) would create prosperity through massive government spending.
Then Noory felt the need to rubberstamp the notion that this would put Obomba back in for another term.
As always, my biggest gripe with Noory is his unwillingness to challenge any guest, no matter how off the wall the guest happens to be.
