I think that if I was looking for high speed internet in the Philippines I would have to live in a major metropolitan area, or, subscribe to a satellite internet company.

If the latter, just about anywhere in the Philippines would suit.

I would definitely stay away from the major metrapolitan areas, Manila in particular. Too many people, to congested, and that's where the major crime happens.

We own property on the island of Palawan and the island of Tablas. I will retire on one or the other. Palawan is very rural. Tablas is close enough to the island of Borokay (MAJOR world renowned beach resort) to get a weekend away once in a while in a civilized manner.

What are your priorities other than HSI?

I need a little more info to give you an informed opinion.
