Thanks, I knew you could make snakes uncomfortable by spreading D. E. around the foundation of your house but I didn’t realize it had so many other uses. I just ordered a 50# bag and some mylar bags w/absorbers. I already have plenty of food grade buckets so it looks like I’m good to go. Oh, plenty of pickling lime also.

Yep. I use a very small amount, and mix it in throughly. I use for any grain like rice, beans, corn, or things like pasta. We have a little moth that loves those things, and if you don't protect it, they will get into it.

When I get ready to use that food, I'll rinse it if appropriate, or just knock most of the dust off, if I'm going to grind a grain.
