From the 21st century BC in Sumeria to the 19th century AD in China, mutilated men were called eunuchs or the equivalent. In Italy, if they could sing, they were called castrati, musici, or evirato until the 19th century. Now we pretend that removing body parts makes men into women? I suppose if you removed both arms, liberals would call them birds because birds don’t have arms.
