Pumpkin and Leo would roughhouse like kids and we even had to break them up,LOL.

Yep, Kefira (the little DSH rescue) chases big giant Bijou (the Maine Coon). She taps Bijou with her little paw when poor Bijou is sleeping to get her to move, then moves in with more paw tapping to get Bijou to run away. Then she delightedly chases her all over the place until Bijou turns the tables. Bijou is the original drama queen; even the littlest tap by Kefira brings a "Moooooom! She's TOUCHING me!" translated into
Cat. I have to come to her "rescue" and tell Kefira to leave her alone. 5 minutes later, Bijou is chasing Kefira and they start all over again. Sometimes I wake up and both are snuggled together on my bed, so I know all that kvetching is just a bunch of hooey.
Looks like my advice was reiterated about elebenty-leven times here on FR. I know that Craigslist here in NYC has death row kitties advertised every single day, and death row doggies. It breaks my heart to read those posts. Perhaps your local Craigslist has some babies listed that need a good home like yours.
