I don’t think that there is anything to be concerned about in planning for contingencies.
I’m more worried about how many unhappy people there are going to be when they are weaned off the government teat in the next four years. And no, I don’t mean people who actually worked for it and deserve it.

They should just give everyone back what they’ve had confiscated from them for SS and tell them here’s what we took from you, you’re on your own and end it. If they’ve already burned through what they paid in, they’re done.
