As for harassment or attempted murder, there's an immediate solution for that, as well.

OK, TX seems diff than most other states in that regard then. The states Ive lived in dont have this protection. Does the TX law prevent the suit from being filed? If not then I think you still have to lawyer up.
As for the harassment thing its not pleasant and you find yourself potentially in the revolving situation esp if its gang related. You may also find yourself dead. As I said the BEST thing is not to have to shoot. You dont always get that choice but if you can avoid it do so.
