sadly this guy is a classic paranoid schizophrenic with delusion fits. his mental break was at age 24 is the text book age and he was isolated from his family which accelerated his mental deterioration. he really thought he was the joker from that previous movie .

I’m pretty sure that paranoid schizophrenia well pre-dates TV and movies and banning such would do nothing to prevent this sort of thing. Paranoid schizophrenics can find, while in their delusional state, motivation in just about anything – some have even found it in the words of the Bible.
