I was with him for 25 minutes before he died...he couldn't speak but I told him all he needed (i.e. we love you, go ahead, we'll be there shortly, don't worry about a thing!)
He breathed a sigh of relief with each point made...and his pulse and blood pressure dropped accordingly.
I left the hospital floating on air!
Happy to report it was beautiful (particularly the military aspect)...and the soldier presenting the flag to my mother did say "On behalf of the President of the United States..."
THANK YOU! I have been waiting to hear this! I am so glad the funeral was the tribute our Warriors deserve.
My prayers and condolences for you and your family. I am so relieved your dad received the honor he deserved.
Thank you and Thank God. Sorry about your dad but glad things went so well. Death cannot be avoided but dishonor can and was - at least in this case.
