No his would be too small. Think it helped some but wasn’t a miracle worker. Jules tends to be insecure by nature but not so that he’s unmanaeable or to the point of medicating.
One of the first things that came to my mind was did no one else in there have a gun? Granted, he threw gas cannisters to cause panic and confusion, but the people who dropped and crawled between the aisles kept their heads about them.
I also would think that with all the terrorist plots involving public venues unearthed in the years since 9-11, places like theatres and malls would have security at all entrances/exits-especially late at night-to prevent someone going in with suspicious stuff-the amount of ordnance that shooter was carrying would hardly have been inconspicuous...
I just heard that the madman has lawyered up and shut up-there was something about him getting a cell phone call and having access to that side exit he got into with weapons-maybe he did not act alone after all?
They also can't see how one law abiding carrying citizen could have stopped this madman very quickly.
Could have slowed him down anyway. This guy apparently had full riot gear on, bulletproof everything you can get, helmet and faceshield and all.
And yes, he entered from the emergency exit.
I bet this puts the kibosh on people dressing up for movie premiers.
