That’s what I’m thinking.

Look at historical events that happened on the 4th of July.

I believe Thomas Jefferson was born and died on July 4th. One of the Mars rovers landed on the 4th.

1636 - City of Providence, Rhode Island form
1754 - George Washington gives Ft Necessity to France
1776 - Declaration of Independence-US gains independence from Britain
1836 - Wisconsin Territory forms
1845 - Texas Congress votes for annexation to US
1874 - Social Democratic Workmen’s Party of North America formed
1876 - 1st public exhibition of electric light in SF
1911 - Ty Cobb goes 0 for 4 & ends a 40 game hit streak
1936 - League of Nations starts sanctions against Italy
1942 - 1st American bombing mission over enemy-occupied Europe (WW II)

Add another: July 4, 1863 Union forces capture Vicksburg, Miss., splitting the Confederacy and giving the Union Army control of the Mississippi River.

Thomas Jefferson's birthday was April 13 (New Style). He and John Adams both died on July 4, 1826. James Monroe died on July 4, 1831. The only President whose birthday was July 4 was Calvin Coolidge.

On July 4, 1946, the Philippines became independent.
