Singer Andy Williams has returned home to spend his final days with his family after doctors told him they can do nothing more to treat his bladder cancer.
The Moon River crooner, 84, is now at his Branson, Missouri, home surrounded by his wife, children and friends.
He has asked them to remember the good times and the music he has created over a career that has last three-quarters of a century.
'They are all desperately sad to see their father suffer,' a source told the Sunday Express. 'But he has told them all not to cry for him and remember him when he has gone through the music he has loved all his life.'
Williams announced he was suffering from bladder cancer onstage at a show at the Moon River Theater in Branson last December.

Andy Williams Sings - The Exodus Song (This Land Is Mine)
“I remember The English Beat’s cover of it”.
Dave Wakeling nailed it too. Sounded just like Andy. They are still around, going to see them next month here in LA
Don’t overlook the Perry Como TV show...
Will Ranking Roger be there? One of my favorite 80s bands, love "Mirror in the Bathroom", "Save it For Later" (even Pete Townshend covered it), "Best Friend". Ok, I'll skip "Stand Down Margaret", though.
This is a wierd kind of connection; but, when I was a young woman one of my first jobs was as a data input operator at United Airlines and I would input airfreight airbills. We would get airbills for "human remains" all the time, and mostly you would just mindlessly input the "data". I was doing a batch and got an airbill with human remains "Spider Sabich". The whole Claudine Longet thing was still big in the news, so it was of interest. So, I don't know how many degrees of separation one gets for inputting the airbill for a incident like this; but, that is my story.
I know a lot of people are having memories of Andy Williams and his Christmas shows/songs. I don't argue with that, I liked Williams and especially his holiday work; but, I also loved Perry Como when I was a kid and like his holiday songs as well. Both, wonderful singers.
Welcome to My World......the BEST song by Dean Martin, ever!! LOVED the segment on the couch!
So can you connected it to Kevin Bacon? ;-)

“Will Ranking Roger be there”?
No, Dave is the only original. The band he has put together is pretty tight however, you wouldnt be disapointed. Rankin Roger has his version of “The Beat” that plays in the UK.
I agree on Stand Down Margret. I loved the song until I became political and understood the message.
I will be eternally grateful for the years spent with my beautiful Mother watching the Andy Williams show. My favorite was his Christmas show where Edward Villella danced as poor monk in front of a statue of Jesus because he had no money (sob, sob, sob). I’m now hoping I’m not remembering the Perry Como Show. Shut up, I was little!
I have his CDs, and was listening to one just the other day. Didn’t know he had cancer. I am younger than his typical audience, but I love his music and saw him perform live in Branson years ago.
A very talented man.

Remember that drunk guy (acting) Foster Brook? he was in a lot of the skits and usually was an Airline Pilot at the bar just before his flight. He passed away a few years back, I believe. (Dean Martin Show)
