Every year, it happens. The summer winds down near the end of July, and over a couple weeks we get a full dose of college football previews from every conference before teams open fall camp in August.

Muschamp certainly isn’t a stranger to Kyle Field.
I think now that TAMU is inn the SEC, they will get more of the 5 star prospects that they used to lose regularly to Texas. ASnd anyone else noticed that since TAMU joined the SEC, nobody's talking about the Longhorn Network..
I have talked to many parents whose kids went to A&M, and they all say it’s the best possible school, and environment for them. Their staff does a great job with prospective students visiting the university. They sold me, and I know my daughter is very excited about A&M, even wears an A&M sweater, she’ll start 8th Grade next month, so it still will be a few years.
With the occasional exception, most of the SEC plays 8 home games, a couple decent in conference games and 4 gimmes against Directional State Teachers College. So even going 4-4 in the SEC you end up with 8 wins and it looks like an awesome conference.
I do worry about UT’s offense...they can’t seem to get a good quarterback, and the o-line is porous and young. I think their defense will be solid. Should be an interesting season with W. Virginia and TCU joining the conference.
I know.
the Texas Aggie quarterback, whoever it turns out to be, will be talented but have zero experience. This, against the speed of SEC defenses means having to grow up fast.
The D-line is thin, an on account of that, it will be young too.
Jackson seems to have the team in the best physical shape I’ve ever seen, and Sumlin has buy-in, but I think 8 wins this season is probably the upper limit. The fall cannot come soon enough. Anxious to see how they play.
On the bright side, Sumlin is recruiting lights out.
I hope this is accurate. But I looked it up and the last gane Florida played in Texas was in the Bluebonnet Bowl versus Arkansas on 12/31/82.
The last regular season game they played in Texas was at University Of Houston on 09/15/79.
I do know that 1992 is the last time the Gators played a regular season non-conference game outside of the State of Florida, against Syracuse.
Charlie Pell's first game as I recall, of course 1979 was a year to forget for Gator fans.
Now their offense is as good as any around, really, but at some point you have to stop the other team and you need your coach to prepare you to win the really big games. John L Smith v Satan? Please. Damn shame.
Petrino’s peccadillo was a huge set-back for the Hogs. It was a heartbreaker when I heard about it. Smith is not a bad coach but you are right about the level of coaching he will have to go against.
No woman is worth committing adultery for.
