we are happy to have you whenever you can make it, enjoy your time in CA.
Thank you very much. It’s not fun. We are still struggling with arrangements for my 99 year old mom who broke her leg in May. She’s in rehab, and they have wanted to know since the day she entered rehab where she is going after she uses up her 100 days. We are trying to make arrangements, and it’s tough being the only child. Mom is described as “fragile, but feisty” by the nurse advocate that we hired to oversee her treatment.
She is angry that she is in this situation, so she is not co-operating always. Plus, I don’t think she is being treated properly all the time (not medically — just personally). She doesn’t hear well, and that complicates everything. She has a great imagination, so she fills in what she doesn’t hear!
This is our 2nd trip, and we have a thousand details to still work out. We’ll be making the rounds of nursing homes this time to try to find a place for her to go in August.
The good news is that she looked much better and much stronger this trip than she did 2 weeks ago.
