ummmm- fossilization in 13000 years ? yeah right
It happens.
When I was 10, the local science teacher took us on a field trip to McCoy’s Ferry which has old limestone block tunnels connected to the C&O Canal.
We stopped in the tunnel [built circa 1830] and he told us to shine our flashlights up at the ceiling of the tunnel where foot long, thin stalactites were hanging.
Then, with a totally straight face, he told us they’d taken millions of years to form.
Even at that I young, I knew BS when I heard it.
Oddly enough, they are no longer in that tunnel.
I’m not sure if souvenir hunters broke them off or somebody ‘scientific’ was offended by their existence.
Fossilization has been found to take place much quicker than 13,000 years.
