Good for young Mr. Williamson. He is more talented than 99.99% of so called artists today. And to think he didn't need to go six figures into debt for some MFA degree. My problem with "modern" art is I think I can produce it if I so stupid to think a big black blob on a canvas was art. I can work 24 hours a day for the rest of my life and I would not approach this kid's talent.

I agree. I fully expected to see paint splatters and was pleasantly surprised with actual art.
I don’t know if I would call it million dollar art but its still actual art.

The quality of the kid’s paintings at the link are on par with museum art of the 19th century European impressionist painters.

Very good, it sounds like he actually sells his artwork and doesn’t require a government grant.
Here’s my rule: The amount of money an artist gets from the government is inversely proportional to actual talent.

His stuff is good and he’s cerrtainly talented, but he’s also being overhyped and marketed.
Spectacular? No. Very good. Yes. Mini-Monet? Hype.

Very good. Just thinkin’ how great he’d be if he had a good pair of eye glasses.
That was a joke.

Pretty pictures. I hope he uses his earnings wisely while he’s in fashion. I would have said “saves,” but if TSHTF, investing in guns and ammo might prove to have been the best choice.

I think his parents should take him to a modern art museum, and at every painting, loudly proclaim “My nine year old can paint better than that!”
To: C19fan
Impressively talented. I’m glad to see his parents are trying to keep him balanced. It would be a shame for him to burn out on art before he reaches his full development.

If I had painted these paintings they would be “nice” but for a 9 year old to have painted them they are “exceptional”. I hope he continues to paint, then he will be painting masterpieces.
