Why would you associate with a liberal democrat lawyer? I choose not to associate with those people anymore.
From my own perspective...I have no friends who are out and out libtards, those things tend to resolve early on. I do have lib relatives/in-laws who bring up politics at gatherings (they just can't help themselves). I tend to play dumb and unaware, let them try to 'educate' me, and then ask a seemingly innocent gotcha question at the right moment that has everyone else then questioning their intelligence and critical thinking. That's the best thing about conservatism: common sense really doesn't need to market or rebrand itself as something it is not.

My family is throwing me a 70th birthday party/family reunion in Atlanta in a few weeks. My cousin and her husband are from suburban Chicago and are head-banging demonrats. The last time I saw him here in FL, he was telling my how ecstatic he was when he ran into Axelrod in a hardware store in MI. He is a total kool-aid drinker; I’m not too sure about his wife, (my cousin). I had dinner in Palm Beach with another cousin (a very wealthy man) from New Orleans. He is solidly in our camp. My sister, who is one of the hostesses of the party/reunion, said that she is going to issue orders at the door: check your politics and religion at the door!
