Something didn't smell right so I looked it up. Basically, a crazy liberal was scared that post WWII life “craved comfort, normalcy, and old-fashioned values” too much. Barf. Poor baby, having to live in post WWII America after everyone involve with the war effort came home. She needed to shake everyone up with some screwy horror story. What a legacy! And she looks like a crazy lib of today. For some reason I thought the story had more literary chops than that.

Oh, wow! She was an early “Occupy Wallstreeter.” Forget the Old Ways, whatever it takes! Don’t bother examining the old ways, though; just assume they’re murderously stupid.

Punks of every generation... But, I think the punks are getting worse with each new generation.

By the way, no doubt, she is of no relation to Sheila Jackson-Lee (other than ideologically, of course).
