Many drugs have off label use. Beta blockers are used for anxiety and stage fright. Drugs to treat osteoporosis are used to treat Pagets disease and giant cell tumors. The thing is you need a good doctor to decide if the risks outweight any possible benefit.
YES....and I don’t trust the FDA much anyhow...they go after (sue) walnut manufacturers for touting the heart health benefits of walnuts, while letting Frito Lay tout their chips as a health food.....
