I love Nine Inch Nails, almost all his stuff. Reznor is a musical genius. He also worked with Marilyn Manson quite a bit, and I actually admit to liking a little of Manson’s stuff, probably because I hear Reznor in there.
If you like NIN.
You should check out Adrian Belew (guitar genius) who BTW, Reznor has credited with being a big influence.
Rex also did some of NIN’s final shows with Numan and credits him heavily ;)
I like NIN overall. Some creative stuff in that boy’s head (and some decidedly lib stuff too unfortunately.) But he defined an entire genre. His Crow cover of Joy Division’s “Dead Souls” blew away the original IMO. His stuff on The Downward Spiral was just insane. “Big Man with a Gun” will always be one of my faves. I am amazed how badly it was misinterpeted by the press.
ALMOST NOBODY got his point.
(For non NIN fans... if you look it up, don’t say you were not warned ;)
Manson's magnum opus was "Sweet Dreams (Are made of This).
He cut through their sinister subtley like a chainsaw and dragged it bleeding into a dark alley.
[and then Alice walked on stage during Manson's cover, ~covered~ his cover and made Marilyn his bitch] ...;D
