Racing in the Rain?????
Rain, schmain! No dry pavement necessary here. Or restrictor plates, green/white/yellow finishes, etc.
D’oh! Green/white/checker.
Ahhhhh, back to Silverstone. Not that I didn’t like Donington Park - I just like Silverstone better, even in its new configuration (never did like the “bridge turn” - even on a simulator (RACE07) it was a pretty hairy turn).
Abbey has a mean little bump at the apex that can really jostle your car in the game. I’ll watch to see what the real-life drivers do there.
My racing buddies and I ran Donington Park in our RACE07 F1 race in 2010 and, because most others liked it, we raced there last year. But now we are (finally) going back to Silverstone.
YAY!
been there done that...Silverstone, of course the layout is a lot different now. I once had to back out between to “lorries”..(car haulers) while in the pits at Silverstone so Graham Hill and Mario could walk through...Mario noticed my t-shirt (Budweiser)and GI haircut and said..”where from?”..I said Jersey...Hill turns around and say’s “The Isle of Jersey?”...Mario goes...he said Joizey
two lorries
...don’t think it was a GP though, they used to have British Championship races there then. I really enjoy the F5000 series back then...wicked sounding V8 Chevy formula’s
I went to all three GP’s the 3 years I was there...two at the Hatch and one at Silverstone. Steward was king then.
Always pay attention to F!.
Tomorrow the family will be at Limerock Park, in Lakeville, CT for the ALMS practice and qualifying. Saturday is the race. Probably take the beautiful ride again along the Housatonic River on Saturday for the race.
Love The Ride

Just a heads-up: That justin.tv stream doesn’t do much for me (works, but looks like some guy pointing a webcam at his TV screen. LOL.). Getting an excellent quality BBC2 stream on vipbox.tv right now! (Of rain...)
