Romney would take the oath at noon on Sunday in the Rotunda, like Reagan did to begin his second term.
He should take in St Louis...the Heartland.
There is no problem with taking the oath privately on a Sunday. Many Christians do not believe in holding secular festivities; parades, parties, etc., on a Sunday.
He will take it on the Book of Mormon, in Salt Lake City, privately administered by justice Roberts.
Maybe a question of equal importance is: Will Roberts be able to administer the oath this time without screwing up?
Its a private swearing in, then the money wasting parties begin on the 21st.

As long as Romney takes the Oath in a country that he is loyal to, it will be a huge step up from that terrible day in January, 2009. Perhaps in some odd sense, Obama is “loyal” to the America he wants to create, but Romney is a real American both culturally and by birth. As much as I despise Romney’s politics, the liberal from MA will be a huge step up from our current national nightmare.
I just want to see Obama fly away in the helicopter forever and forever.
A bigger question is does the Obama family leave the White House and hang-out elsewhere (Blair House?) until the ceremony is over on Monday afternoon? It's clear to me that the nuclear football and all other responsibilities would be Romney's at noon on Sunday.
I wish he could take it at the stroke of midnight on Nov. 7, 2012. If they lose it is unthinkable what kind of damage Obama and his people will try to compress and accomplish between then and Jan. 20, 2013.
