Well, as the author of the Book of ZOT!, allow me to address that. Or at least my part in it as it’s concept far predates me.

Everyone here knows the deal. When they hose up and go overboard, they get the smack. I have and perhaps will again. It’s a learning experience. You grow ;)

If you get an actual zot, it seems to me that you deserve what you got coming. If you have pushed the envelope so far that the hammer falls and the Great Cat’s ire is inflamed, well...you hauled a big load of stupid to the party.

And stupidity should bring with it pain and humiliation.

And If I step over that line I fully expect to make the Zot Lightning Ping list and hope that the many freepers who can’t wait to see me there get their deserved shots into my sizzling carcas.

After which I go back to real life. As do all the Zotted.

NOTHING to get spazed over to the degree of TBL. Especially since all zottings are ultimately self inflicted.

I’m sorry Norm, I don’t agree with all you wrote. I’ve been here since 2001. This year I’ve watched tons of long time FReepers get zotted and they weren’t all that ‘over the line’. It made me sad to watch, but it made me sick to watch those who came en-masse and gloated with full page images and crude remarks.

But, I’m me, I’m a nice person and care about ‘feelings’.

Growing up is difficult (sometimes) for all of us. Have been where your post stated. I would not have said or typed it as well as you. I am still relatively speaking a noob and have so much to learn. Thank you for the posted comment.
