I always enjoy your posts. That said, I never liked Quix, as he was a nasty, looney toon poster, imo. But, the pile on bothers me because he can’t reply and that ain’t right, imo. Or maybe he can and I’m not aware or whatever. He was nasty to Judith Ann...another poster who was very kind to me who passed away recently and he still blasted her...that ain’t Christian. IMO.

I included Randy and yorkie in this post because I remember those two from the Canteen and both were very kind to me. And because I read their posts on this thread. Randy was especially awesome in posting his music for the troops (and me, making sure he posted my song requests, and always helpful when I asked for computer help). And, yorkie, I recall seeing beautiful pics of her house/scenery. I recall hearing how she was in an accident and lost people close to her,and was injured herself, and praying for her.

I don’t get on here often anymore, and part of it is because of the threatened bannings, etc. Who wants to deal with that crap? And I sure don’t want to see posters dancing on virtual graves of zotted posters (what are we in junior high?). The whole thing is wacked imo. Adults reliving their pathetic adolescence by being the people that tormented them way back? It’s ludicrous. IMO. It leaves little for discussion when certain posters are calling for banning, etc. I miss the fun, the discussion but that’s the way of internet forums I guess.

Wow, I can't tell you how good that made me feel! We all sometimes write long thoughtful posts with nary a reply, and then begin to feel we are unimportant. I've found the squeaky wheel gets the notice, even when it has broken spokes.

I sure don’t want to see posters dancing on virtual graves of zotted posters (what are we in junior high?).

I agree. As to Quix, I'm sorry it came to this and more sorry to see the 'piling on' zotted FReepers, who can't defend themselves. The zot celebrations are disliked by the majority here, they are just afraid to speak up. Some are deserved but some people are really hurt and angry and spew it out elsewhere.

I NEVER go on the Religion forums. My stomach is turned just by scrolling past some of those comments while looking at latest posts, and I wonder how Christian can fight Christian as they do.... It is not for us to judge others, that is God's jurisdiction.

Quix was kind to me years ago when my son was working on Johnston's Atoll and making trips to other countries. Quix gave me some tips about certian countries.

I recall hearing how she [Yorkie] was in an accident and lost people close to her,and was injured herself, and praying for her.

Yorkie is my friend and a lovely lady. She is still recovering from the terrible accident and loss of TiaPam, and another person, who were her close friends. I still keep her in my prayers too.

Election times are hard and there are rules here to abide by. Thus there are many who also post on other forums. It's certainly not wise to say hateful things about others on any other forum as the internet is a 'small' place at times, lol. They ranted and raved about Wide Awakes, when many left to join it, and Wide Awakes supposedly had private areas where they spoke freely and others couldn't see what was said.

I miss the fun, the discussion but that’s the way of internet forums I guess.

I miss that more than I can say. Years ago I had a group of friends and we had more fun in our discussions. Sadly, most of them are long gone now. I appreciate your kind and thoughtful comments Twink, thank you!

When I used to DJ on the canteen I was happy because most of us were happy. I love our brave soldiers like I love my own children and grandchildren.

Something happened to me, when the democrates started getting into the gutter about our troops and felt like my hands were tied. I didn’t want my will to fight back to bring a bad opinion back to the canteen and reflect badly on those who treated me so well...so I quit posting.

Now, when I say something it reflects on me only, and some of my comments have been real losers, but they are my comments only.

I miss the comraderie of the canteen but don’t regret my decision to leave.

I’m sorry if some of my posts or decisions have hurt any of my FRiends, but I think I made the right decision.
