if one wanted to continue a religious discussion (and it looked like it was turning into a discussion by then) - the place to do it is in the religious forum.

Really? Then why did you feel you could inject such things on Quix’s opus thread posted by the site owner? Not much contradiction or hypocrisy at all ... /S
In answer to why it was inserted here ... basically because ... and as I noted, that position was not unusual and it’s theologically-based and forms the basis for the ENTIRE EVANGELICAL COMMUNITY ... as they go on the authority of the Bible and not of some man-made institution.
Here’s your opening remarks that brought it up about Quix - in connection with the Catholic thread and discussion of their theology on the Religious Forum ...
“Anytime I, as a Catholic, viewed a religious thread where he commented on the tenets, practices, etc. of Catholicism ... “
Thus, the point being - that this was a thread about Quix - AND - you brought up Quix’s position AGAINST the Catholic Church (as being a problem) - and I pointed out that this really wasn’t Quix’s “personal” problem - but a POSITION of Christians across the USA - and was “theologically-based” and on the Word of God.
SO ... I hope you follow that. Again - in condensed form - you say Quix was against the Catholic Church and that was a problem; I say this is a “sound position” and is not really a “problem” from Christianity’s standpoint. And I say that I have that position and so do a lot of other Bible-believing and dedicated Christians.
It fits right in with exactly what Quix was about (he participated in those Catholic theology discussion threads a lot - although I did not) - but I read some of them and he was right about the theology.
I hope that clears it up for you, for why this was “inserted”. You “inserted” the thing about Quix and Catholic theology discussions on the Religious Forum. I inserted that this is not unusual for Bible-believing Christians and is not limited to Quix and thus is not his “personal problem”.
