Two iconic British television shows collided this week when The Avengers star Diana Rigg popped up on the set of Doctor Who. I love it when Dr. Who goes Victorian. One of my favorite episodes is when he and Billy Piper meet Queen Victoria and Her Majesty offs one of the bad guys with a revolver she kept in her purse. I must admit I have a major crush on the new Dr. companion Jenna-Louise Coleman and she does look lovely in Victorian dress.

Diana Rigg at 73? I'll bet she's aged as well as Honor Blackman.

"Pictures would be helpful." :)

My 35 year old son is a life time fan of Dr. Who. When he was very little, 3 yrs old, he was smart enough to know that Sesame Street was a waste of his time. He preferred Dr. Who. Bright little guy, he was and is!

I was late being Whoized. I would switch channels when Dr. Who was on PBS when I was a kid but the new series starting with Eccleston got me hooked.

My son is in his forties. He cut his teeth on the Tom Baker years and has been a Whovian ever since, as am I. I dropped cable and got Direct TV so I could get BBC AMerica and watch Who on Friday mornings. The current Doctor is almost as good as the Scotsman who preceeded him.

BTW, here's a little youtube scene just for the fun of it:

Aw what the heck, here's another humor break with 'Donna Noble' featured
Catherine on the skit w/ Blair A Catherine Tate skit w/ Blair, where Blair turns Tate’s tv persona back on her with the 'I ain't bothered'

She looks a lot older than 73.

No plastic surgery, I bet. Plus she's wearing a costume that makes her look 120 years older.

That’s true. Costuming does have a lot to do with it. She’s still one of the best around.

We’re loving Dr. Who, too. Watching it on Netflix. Can’t wait until the next season is available. I was surprised at how quickly my kids, ages 10 and 13, fell in love with the show.
