It’s another government ponzi scheme. It takes money from producers and re- distributes it to non producers. I suspect it will end just like social security .

I cannot believe the Romney people are so naive as to be seen as disagreeing with the Supreme Courts ruling. You’d think they’d know when the media is playing them for suckers by now.

The Supreme Court is full of it. It is a “penalty”

Gov Christie says it’s both. It’s a Penalty if you don’t pay, and if the money is used to operate a government program, it’s tax. I think it can be both.

He’s right, the old Double whammy.Read Roberts decision,he said for the purposes of the constitution it is a tax,for the purposes of the anti-injunction act it is a penalty. So it is both, and the whole clusterf..k is upheld.Call it what you like in any case we are all screwed.

Keep in mind that Romney has said that he doesn’t agree with Roberts and the majority. Romney has said that he agrees.with the dissent. The dissent (Scalia, Alito, Kennedy and Thomas) ruled that the mandate is a penalty and could not be a tax.

I understand. But this is a political season - debating distinctions & taking comments out of context is the media’s game & Romney should refuse to play. He should take the tax increase rhetoric and run with it until November.

IT IS A TAX. The Supreme Court said so.

2+2=5, Roberts said so.

It is a penalty which the IRS will collect as a "tax", if we decide to pay for our own health care.

Punitive taxation.
