Yes and contrast the detail in the leaves and bark with the faces that have, at least, been “sharpened” one by one. Three dollar bill time.

Nope, not your monitor. it’s a REALLY bad photoshop job. Whoever did it, for whatever reason, should be fired for lack of talent.
It’s crappy lighting. Their eyes are set quite deeply . The sunlight is high, and the shadows are pretty pronounced.
The photographer should have set some lights to fill in the shadows.
Punch up the contrast for print and voila, you get a crappy picture.
