I grew up on bread pudding, my mum made it quite often. I can't say I miss it. But they were fond times. Thanks for the memories.

I grew up on bread pudding, my mum made it quite often.

My son make the best bread pudding EVER. It comes out more like a custard with golden raisins. There is no hard crust just a lovely, creamy, custardly heaven! Delicious. Of course, in New Orleans, like most places everyone has their own recipe - My son's happens to be the best:-)

our mom tried to give us an (homemade) flan a couple
"you must have something different/civilized culture" was said.
of times...the commercial type was so much better.
