The one thing that keeps coming to mind today- we often don’t get the government we want but we will get the government we deserve.
We’ve become narcissistic and even worse > foolish (as opposed to wise). Our government reflects that. And that does not bode well for our future.
We’ve become a silly people, living in a silly country, with lots of easy wealth to be thrown at silly concerns.
Bad things will happen to us and we will have brought them on ourselves.
